Keys has collaborated and performed with many artists, including Jermaine Dupree, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Wonder, Jamie Foxx, Quincy Jones, John Mayer, Jack White, Jay-Z, Whitney Houston, Alejandro Sanz, Emeli Sande, Giorgia Todrani, and Drake.

Keys was rumored to have had a fling with Justin Timberlake in 2002. Nothing was ever confirmed - and the two remain friends.

Keys began dating Kasseem Dean around 2007, though he was at the time still married to Mashonda Tifrere. Dean divorced Tifrere in 2008, and he and Keys married in July of 2010, already expecting a child together. Tifrere later wrote an open and accusatory letter to Keys, resulting in a media frenzy over their "feud," though Keys always insisted that she wanted to build a friendship with the other woman.
