Alesha Dixon is an English singer, dancer, rapper and TV presenter. She rose to fame as a member of the R&B trio Mis-Teeq, which was active from 1999 - 2005. She then pursued a career as a solo artist, and found further fame when she won the televised dance competition Strictly Come Dancing. She later became a judge on that show. She has been a judge on the talent show Britain's Got Talent since 2012.

Dixon met Sabrina Washington in 1999, as they attended the same dance school together. They soon formed the girl band Mis-Teeq, also recruiting two other members, though they were the original two members, and remained the focus of the band. They disbanded in 2005.

After winning the dance show Strictly Come Dancing as the most successful and highly rated competitor in the show's history, Dixon was invited to become a judge on the show in 2009. She replaced Arlene Phillips, which led to much controversy - the public questioned Dixon's true dance expertise, and accused the BBC network of getting rid of Phillips because Dixon was younger and sexier.

Dixon is a friend of Cheryl Cole.

Dixon is a good friend of her fellow Britain's Got Talent judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, and David Walliams. She is especially close to Holden, the other female judge on the panel. Coincidentally, she shares a birthday with Cowell.

Dixon was a former close friend of Javine Hylton, but later learned that Hylton had been having an affair with her husband for three years.
