Christie was married to Max Mallowan from 1930 until her death in 1976.

Eden Phillpotts was a neighbor and family friend of Christie. He read her early manuscripts and helped send them to publishers.

After other publishers rejected Christie's mystery novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, it was accepted by John Lane, with the condition that she change the ending.

During Christie's 11-day disappearance, Arthur Conan Doyle gave one of her gloves to a spirit medium in hopes of finding her.

Dorothy L. Sayers was an acquaintance of Christie's.
