Acapulco hotel zone
Acapulco is a seaport city in the state of Guerrero in southern Mexico.

The town was established in the 8th Century and made a part of the Aztec Empire in the 11th Century. The first Spanish settlement of Acapulco was built in 1525.

Today, the city is known for its nightlife, clubs, and high-rise hotels, a popular vacation destination.

Dionisio Alcala Galiano: I stayed in Acapulco for one year in 1789, studying hydrographic and astronomical data that I had just collected on a voyage, and making maps.

Walt Disney: I was sent here on a filming mission by the U.S. Government in 1941, in an effort to improve relations with South America.
